We stopped off at the Trees of Mystery on our way home from our vacation to Grandma and Grandpa's on the Oregon coast and couldn't resist stopping....someone couldn't resist climbing on his boot.

We couldn't find Sponge Bob on this beach, but we found Patrick.
We had a great time on vacation.....but we had to come home.
Some other things that happened this summer is both Jack and Savannah went to Camp the same week and as well as Becky being a camp counselor. Jack is about to start school on Monday and Jarod and Savannah will be starting in about a month. Becky is on a break from school, but I know she is anxious to get going on research project :-)
Things at work have been crazy for me as the new iPhone launched last week and my co-worker left about a month ago for another company.

My dog Scout is a golden retriever. When we got him he was eight weeks and eight pounds.
Now he is a year and a half, and he is eighty pounds!

I started a new job at Apple in August after being at Caremark for over 7 years. I like my new job as Telecom Engineer in Elk Grove support the call center there. It is a very different culture at Apple, there is not "one-size-fits-all" here!
I have been busy preparing for Black Friday when the Christmas Shopping season begins in full force.
The iPhones and iPods are selling like crazy and I have been having fun learning a new company culture as I get into the swing of my new job.
For my birthday, I got a cell phone. A fun thing about having a cell phone is texting. When you text you can use a lot of abbreviations. Some of them are:
lol-- laugh out loud
gnite-- good night
ttyl-- talk to you later
brb-- be right back
what's your 20?-- where are you?
b4n-- bye for now
thx-- thanks
You also can use numbers instead of words, like 2 (to) and 4 (for).
My "bff" got a phone, too, and now we talk to each other all the time.
This is a picture of my grandpa's boat. My grandpa lives in Oregon and goes fishing on the coast. He caught a salmon before.
I like fishing too. I got a fishing pole for my birthday. I have gone a couple of times with my dad, but we haven't caught anything yet. I've looked up about fish in the lake near us. They have trout and salmon, bass, crappie, catfish and sunfish. I hope to go there soon.
This week I got Patty Patrol and Freddy 4-Wheeler. Yesterday we thought the UPS truck didn't come when I ordered those two Chevron Cars. But really, here's the funny thing... they were just in our garage all week! The driver must have seen our garage open and just left it there, and my brother and sister put a box on top of it without even knowing what it was.
I have 42 cars in my collection.
